Previous projects conducted for Government
The Project increased the participation rates of parents returning to the workforce and mature aged workers in the Community Services & Health Industry sector (CS&HI).
Pow Wow Consulting was contracted by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) to undertake this Project. Working in Care is funded under the Mature Age Industry Strategy administered by DEWR.
The Project sought to provide training, work experience and employment outcomes for Parents Returning to the Workforce and Mature Aged jobseekers within the Community Services and Health Industry sector.
Working with relevant stakeholders, we are targeted and selected 100 jobseekers to provide industry skills training and up to 70 hours of supervised work experience and support. Pow Wow placed at least half (50) candidates into employment within the sector.

Employers had an opportunity to assess the potential of these trainees for up to two weeks during their work experience placements.
