Manufacturing More Mentors Project

We are very proud to announce that Pow Wow has been contracted by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) to undertake the Manufacturing More Mentors Project, through the Employer Broker initiative.("Funded by the Australian Government")
We are also proud to announce that we have been contracted by The Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development (DIIRD) to undertake a similar project, Manufacturing More Mentors Project, through the Victoriaworks initiative.
These projects are designed to assist employers in the manufacturing sector to overcome skills and labour shortages by employing experienced mature age job seekers and recently retrenched workers over the age of 45within the manufacturing sector. The projects also work to support the skills development of new employees through structured workplace mentoring.
These projects will provide real opportunities for mature aged jobseekers.
Working with relevant stakeholders, we will seek through both of these programs to target and select a total of 80 candidates and provide a tailored workplace preparation and orientation program.
Our target is to place 60 of these candidates into employment within the sector.
The projects are funded from July 2010 – July 2011
