ERTIFICATE IV IN DISABILITY WORK

This qualification is part of the Community Services Training Package. This course will equip you to provide training and support to people with disabilities to enhance their ability to achieve greater levels of independence and community participation. It also prepares you for the role of a team leader or supervisor which may involve assessing client needs, planning care, supervising a work team and co-coordinating administration.

Course Content / Structure

There are 14 units of competency which make up a CHC40302 — Certificate IV in Disability Work. Competency is required in all 14 units. There are 10 compulsory units and four electives to achieve this qualification.

Skills Recognition — Exemptions/Transfers

Students may be eligible for exemptions/transfers on the basis of previous qualifications.

Participants successfully completing this course may apply for entry into CHC40102 - Certificate IV in Aged Care Work, Certificate IV in Service Coordination (Ageing and Disability), Diploma of Disability Work, Diploma of Community Services Management, and Advanced Diploma of Disability Work.
