ERTIFICATE III IN COMMUNITY SERVICES WORK

This qualification is part of the Community Services Training Package. This qualification applies to community work delivered through a broad range of services to individuals and groups. This level is appropriate for support workers, caseworkers and client contact officers. Generally, these positions:

  • Have a direct contact with clients
  • Identify presenting needs
  • Refer to appropriate services and support

Course Content/Structure

There are 13 units of competency which make up a Certificate III in Community Services Work. Competency is required in all 13 units. There are 11 compulsory units and 2 electives to achieve this qualification.

Skills Recognition - Exemptions/Transfers

Students may be eligible for exemptions/credit transfers on the basis of previous qualifications.

Participants successfully completing this course may apply for entry into a CHC41202 Certificate IV in Community Services Advocacy, CHC41602 Certificate IV in Community Services (Lifestyle and Leisure), or CHC50802 Diploma of Community Services (Lifestyle and Leisure).
