ERTIFICATE II IN COMMUNITY SERVICES WORKCHC20108
Employees may undertake a variety of 'entry-level' roles in any one of several Community Services sectors, working under supervision. The electives chosen can be aligned to the job duties in areas such as aged care, social housing, youth or mental health work.
Eleven units must be selected for this qualification including all compulsory units and six electives.
Course Overview:
- Prepare for work in the Community Services Industry
- Communicate with people accessing the services of the organisation
- Follow the organisation's policies, procedures and programs
- Work with others
- Follow OHS procedures
- Orientation to aged care work
- Orientation to disability
- Provide personal care
- Participate in safety procedures for direct work
- Communicate appropriately with clients and colleagues
- Assist with self medication
